Bal Mitra was founded by a group of dedicated and experienced child protection experts who share a strong passion for safeguarding vulnerable children. Our founders carry extensive experience of working with children at both community and institutional care levels, giving them a deep understanding of the needs, psychology, and challenges faced by children.
With backgrounds in rescuing child labourers, working with children in institutional care, and providing rehabilitation support to survivors of child labour and trafficking, our founders bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

We provide comprehensive support including emotional counseling, educational guidance, vocational training, and essential life skills development to boost confidence and resilience.Our program also connects these young individuals with healthcare services, job opportunities, government schemes, and ongoing mentorship. Through personalized care plans and continuous follow-up, we help them navigate challenges, avoid risks like exploitation or homelessness, and access the resources they need for stability and growth.By providing ongoing support and strong peer networks, the Aftercare Programme helps youth overcome vulnerability, gain independence, and thrive in society.

With over two decades of experience in protecting children from child labour, child trafficking, and creating second chances for children in conflict with the law, He has developed a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding child protection.He holds an LL.B degree from Delhi University and is an Acumen Fellow, leveraging his knowledge of law and social impact to drive meaningful change.
